RSAF's F-15SG and Apache AH-64D Helicopters Put Up Exhilarating Integrated Aerial Display at Singapore Airshow

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will be participating in the Singapore Airshow 2020 (SA2020), held from 11 to 16 February at the Changi Exhibition Centre. This is the first time the RSAF is putting up an integrated aerial display comprising an F-15SG multi-role fighter aircraft and a pair of AH-64D Apache attack helicopters. Visitors to SA2020 will also be able to learn more about the capabilities of the RSAF's aircraft and weapon systems on static display.

The 14-minute integrated aerial display performance by the RSAF team will feature 15 manoeuvres in a showcase of precision and coordination, demonstrating the manoeuvrability and capabilities of the two different aircraft. One of the highlights of the aerial display is the Final Salute, dedicated to all Singaporeans for their unwavering support to the RSAF with the AH-64Ds and the F-15SG saluting the nation in unison. The RSAF will showcase military assets as part of the static display, including the F-15SG and F-16C/D+ multi-role fighter aircraft, AH-64D Apache attack helicopter and S-70B Seahawk helicopter, as well as the Heron 1 and Hermes 450 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. The RSAF's A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport and Aster 30 Missile System will also be on display for the first time.

Speaking on the training leading up to SA2020, Chairman of the RSAF Flying Display Committee, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Mark Tan said, "Since October 2019, the team has put in a lot of time and effort to develop a thrilling aerial sequence for the audience. It has been fine-tuned to precision through highly coordinated flying skills and teamwork. Our team of aircrew and ground crew have worked hard and we look forward to excite the crowds at SA2020 with our integrated aerial display. I am confident that the public will enjoy the performance that the RSAF team has put up for them."

The RSAF has participated in the biennial Singapore Airshow since its inaugural edition in 2008. Highlighting the importance of the RSAF's participation in the event, Chairman of the RSAF Sub-Committee, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Damian Chee said, "The RSAF is honoured to be a participant at the Singapore Airshow 2020. The Airshow is an important event for the public to get a better understanding of the RSAF. It also provides an excellent opportunity for our airmen and women to engage our fellow Singaporeans, to allow them to gain a deeper understanding of what the RSAF does every day for the defence of Singapore."
