Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen met Malaysia Minister of Defence Mohamad Sabu on the sidelines of the Singapore Airshow 2020 (SA2020) today. During their meeting, Dr Ng thanked Malaysia for their strong support of SA2020 and both sides reaffirmed the long-standing bilateral defence relationship. They also discussed cooperation on regional platforms such as the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM) and the ADMM-Plus, and other security developments of mutual concern such as piracy and sea robberies in the region.
Dr Ng also met Deputy Commander, People's Liberation Army Central Theater Command Air Force Major General Liu Guoyun and Indian Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria.
Senior Minister of State for Defence Heng Chee How also met Vietnam Deputy Minister of National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh today.
Dr Ng and the guests for the Singapore Airshow also viewed the inaugural performance by the Republic of Singapore Air Force's integrated aerial display team, the United States (US) Pacific Air Forces' F-22 Raptor, US Marine Corps' F-35B Joint Strike Fighter and People's Liberation Army Air Force's Ba Yi aerobatics team.
