Continued Engagement to Strengthen Interoperability between Navies

Chief of Navy, Rear Admiral (RADM) Aaron Beng participated in a Key Leaders Engagement (KLE) session on 19 Feb, alongside 13 other navies. 

Entitled "Multilateral Interoperability in 2021", the session was hosted by Commander, Pacific Fleet, Admiral (ADM) John Aquilino, and is the third meeting in this series of virtual engagements held for regional navies. 

As part of his sharing, RADM Beng said that he was encouraged with the collective view on the importance to maintain regular interactions and work together to strengthen interoperability between navies. He also supported the suggestion to share experiences and information on the management of COVID-19. In addition, RADM Beng reiterated that RSS Singapura, Changi Naval Base remains open to navies who wish to call into Singapore for replenishment.

RADM Beng affirmed the Republic of Singapore Navy's (RSN) continued support to multilateral initiatives such as information-sharing through its Information Fusion Centre (IFC), and that the RSN looked forward to organise the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (IMDEX), as well as the 7th International Maritime Security Conference (IMSC) in the latter part of 2021.
