Undeterred by New Challenges

What does it take to ensure all RSN platforms stay well-maintained and operational ready?

This is the challenge that the team of 55 at the Ship Superintending Engineering Centre (SSEC) undertakes every day. Most recently, the team remained undeterred in the face of new challenges brought about by COVID-19 restrictions, which limited works at the shipyards and forced them to adjust maintenance plans. In recognition of their hard work, the team clinched the Best Naval Engineering and Logistics Unit this year.

"The key ingredient has to be the spirit and commitment of the people in SSEC. In our team of 55, every member is highly professional, determined and deeply committed to the generation and timely delivery of 'as good as new' platforms for ops." – ME6 Alvin Tan, Commanding Officer, SSEC.
