Responsibilities

As a Naval Officer, you will be groomed to take command of our Navy’s sophisticated submarines, warships and naval aircraft, while leading men and women of our Navy family to fulfil their duty of defending Singapore. Being a naval strategist, you will lead your people during troubled times to victory at sea, and during times of peace, use your diplomatic skills to expand Singapore’s policy spaces and defend our way of life.

Ship board $350-$450
Submarine $750-$850

*Inclusive of ship board allowance of $350

Officer Scheme

Savings and Employee Retirement (SAVER) Plan

CPF top-up account- Lower employee’s contribution compared to private section, allowing more take-home pay. Employer’s contribution matches that of private sector.
Savings account- Funds will be deposited monthly for the first 10 years of service. Withdrawals can be made from the 7th year of service onwards.
Retirement account- Contributions start from the 7th year of service.
Service Bonuses – Distributed from ages 45-50

Flex Benefits

An annual lump sum allowance will be disbursed to you so that you have the flexibility in using the money as and when you need it.

First 6 years of service $600 per year
7th to 12th year of service $800 per year
13th year of service onwards $1000 per year

Academic Qualifications

Degree, Diploma, A-Level or International Baccalaureate

Basic Requirements

  1. Singapore Citizen or Singapore PR intending to take up citizenship
  2. Medically fit (PES B1 and above)
  3. Normal colour perception
