The Sentinel-class Maritime Security and Response Vessels provide more calibrated options to respond to maritime incidents and offer greater persistence to protect Singapore's territorial waters. These vessels create flexibility for the Singapore government and Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) to meet the increased demands from maritime security threats that have grown in scale and complexity.

These nimble vessels bear red "racing" stripes on their bow, in line with other international maritime security agencies.

Weapons and Capabilities

Installed with a range of calibrated capabilities, these refurbished ex-Fearless-class patrol vessels will be operated by the Maritime Security and Response Flotilla as a start, while new purpose-built vessels are being built.
