In response to media queries on the sale of SAF equipment online, the following reply was issued:

We advise servicemen to procure their personal equipment from authorised sources like the SAF eMart or from the official online eMart website which can be found on the NS portal. These sources supply personal equipment that meet the stringent SAF product specifications and testing.

At the same time, we wish to stress that the unauthorised sale of SAF equipment by servicemen and contracted suppliers is prohibited and we take a serious view on this matter. Servicemen who wish to return issued equipment may do so through their unit logistics office or SAF eMarts. For replacement of personal equipment, servicemen can use their allocated credits to do so at eMarts.
