RSAF demonstrates readiness through mobilisation exercise An open mobilisation alert was broadcast at 12 noon across Singapore on 9 Dec. Within a few hours, more than 90 per cent of Active and Operationally Ready National Servicemen were already at three Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) bases across the island, ready for duty.
The routine drill is part of 20 to 30 mobilisation exercises conducted by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) each year.
Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Melvyn Ong observed the mobilisation process at Paya Lebar Air Base, while similar mobilisations were taking place at the Changi and Tengah air bases concurrently.

The performance also included Japanese tunes such as the theme song from popular Japanese anime Attack on Titan.
