Minister for Defence Joins Army to Celebrate 55 Years of National Service at AOH22

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen visited the Army Open House 2022 (AOH22) at the F1 Pit Building this afternoon. Hosted by Chief of Army Brigadier-General (BG) David Neo, Dr Ng launched AOH22 and the NS55 Showcase. This year marks 55 years of National Service (NS), and the NS55 Showcase highlights the evolution of NS and the achievements of generations of national servicemen in defending and safeguarding Singapore.

AOH22 features a range of interactive activities where visitors can view over 20 Army platforms, get up close with the different Army Formations and enjoy Battle Rides on various Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) platforms. There is a mission-based night walk, an outdoor obstacle course and other hands-on activities to provide visitors with an immersive and exciting experience.

Themed "Generations of Strength" to commemorate 55 years of NS, AOH22 comprises the AOH22 Virtual Exhibition, AOH22@F1 Pit Building and AOH22@Heartlands to showcase the Army's hardware, software and heartware to engage Singaporeans of all ages. The AOH22 Virtual Exhibition is accessible on the AOH22 website from 16 May to 12 June. The Main Exhibition is open to public from 28 to 30 May at the F1 Pit Building. Following the conclusion of AOH22@F1 Pit Building, the Open House will move to the heartlands (AOH22@Heartlands): (i) Punggol from 3 to 5 June; and (ii) Bishan from 10 to 12 June.
