The Hon Scott Morrison MP
Prime Minister of Australia
50 years of the Five Power Defence Arrangements is a remarkable milestone and achievement. The FPDA is grounded in a shared vision of a peaceful, inclusive and resilient Indo-Pacific region. Half a century since its inception, it remains an anchor for regional security, strengthening cooperation, sustaining the ties between our people and supporting our defence and military links. We are people with steadfast beliefs in sovereignty, in human dignity, and in a world order, particularly in our own region, that favours freedom. On this Anniversary, we recommit to the Five Power Defence Arrangements, and to the shared values and outlook that have sustained us all for so long.
The Honourable Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob
Prime Minister of Malaysia
I would like to congratulate the FPDA on its 50th Anniversary. This long-term relationship is devoted to the member nations' close partnership, trust and dedication. This reflects the long history of shared security interests and political commitment by member nations. I trust the FPDA Stocktake will guide these Arrangements towards a greater level of friendship and cooperation. I hope the FPDA will continue to address emerging security challenges constructively towards a more auspicious outlook.
Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern
Prime Minister of New Zealand
Kia ora! Congratulations to the FPDA on its 50th Anniversary milestone. These Arrangements have come far, expanding from traditional security needs to include more contemporary ones. This adaptability is key to the FPDA's endurance and its ability to face any future challenges. The FPDA has been a long-standing cornerstone of New Zealand's engagement in the region, and provides invaluable opportunities to work with fellow members. We look forward to another successful 50 years of working closely as five together.
Mr Lee Hsien Loong
Prime Minister of Singapore
Since 1971, the Five Power Defence Arrangements has provided a valuable security umbrella to Malaysia and Singapore. It gave the two young nations the assurance they needed to develop and mature into the stable and prosperous countries we see today. 50 years on, the world and our region have vastly changed. Yet the FPDA retains its relevance and value. It is an established and accepted way for our long-standing and deeply appreciated partners to continue contributing to the peace, stability and regional order in Southeast Asia. This has only been possible with the sustained and unwavering commitment of all five nations. Singapore affirms our strong commitment to the FPDA. I am confident that the Arrangements will remain relevant and effective for many years to come.
The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

And in the years ahead, Britain will be proud to make an even bigger and more consistent contribution. Five Together!
