The MINDEF Innovation Project Award (MIPA) recognises the teams behind projects that made game-changing. The projects are assessed based on the extent of their impact/benefits, scalability, user-centricity and boldness.

2. Improving Defect Recovery time for Wing Position Lighting Defect (RSAF)
3. Portable Under-Vehicle Surveillance System (PUVSS) (RSAF)

The MINDEF Innovation Champion Award (MICA) was introduced in 2017 to recognise MINDEF/SAF personnel who have made significant contributions to innovations and inspired others within the Service.

The MINDEF Star Service Award (MSSA) was introduced in 2005 to recognise MINDEF/SAF personnel who have delivered excellent service in their course of duty. The winners for MSSA should exemplify (1) a citizen-centric mind-set in daily work, displaying the W.E. C.A.R.E. values and (2) consistency and dedication to service excellence.

The MINDEF Star Service Initiative Award (MSSIA) is a new award introduced in 2019 to recognise exemplary agency-level initiatives that have demonstrated citizen-centricity, service innovativeness and a total organisational approach to service delivery, leading to improved service outcomes.

The MINDEF SAVE Award recognises the contributions of excellent Economy Drive initiatives by MINDEF/SAF units, departments and project teams. This year, the SAVE Award goes to the following initiatives:

1. Army for the “Army Ops Cost Savings”.
2. DSTA for the “Price Discovery through Competitive Tender”.
3. Joint & DSTA for the “Aggregation of Enterprise System (ES) Contracts”.
