SAF Military and Live-Firing Exercises

SAF MILITARY EXERCISES

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will conduct a military exercise involving ground and aerial elements, which include low-flying aircraft, at The Star Vista from Monday, 7 February 2022, 2100hrs to Tuesday, 8 February 2022, 0500hrs.

The public is advised to keep clear of the area, and not to be alarmed.

A Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) for aerial activities will be established in the area shown in Figure 1 from Monday, 7 February 2022, 2100hrs to Tuesday, 8 February 2022, 0100hrs. The establishment of the TRA is to ensure the safety of the public and low-flying aircraft in the area. Aerial activities such as kite-flying, hoisting of captive balloons and flying unmanned aircraft such as drones will not be allowed within the TRA.

SAF MILITARY EXERCISES (ARMY)

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will conduct military exercises in Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Pasir Ris, Bedok, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang, and Mandai from Monday, 7 February 2022 to Monday, 14 February 2022.

Blanks and thunderflashes will be used.

The public is advised not to be alarmed and to keep clear of these areas.

SAF LIVE-FIRING EXERCISES (ARMY)

The SAF will conduct live-firing exercises in the Pasir Laba (SAFTI) Live-Firing Area from Monday, 7 February 2022 to Monday, 14 February 2022.

Sea vessels and crafts sailing through the Western Johor Straits from Monday, 7 February 2022 to Monday, 14 February 2022 are to keep within the 75m Navigable Sea Lane and not to stray into the Live-Firing Boundary.

Live ammunition and flares will be used.

The public is advised not to be alarmed and to keep clear of these areas.

SAF LIVE-FIRING EXERCISES (AIR FORCE)

The Republic of Singapore Air Force will be conducting live-firing exercises at the Southern Islands Live-Firing Range on Monday, 7 February 2022 to Wednesday, 9 February 2022, and Friday, 11 February 2022.

The public is advised not to be alarmed and to keep clear of these areas.

SAF ANNOUNCEMENT

The islands of Pulau Sudong, Pulau Senang, and Pulau Pawai are proclaimed manoeuvring and firing grounds. The public is advised to keep clear of these islands. The public is also advised to stay clear of the prohibited waters off Changi Naval Base and Tuas Naval Base.

NO TRESPASSING INTO SAF RESTRICTED AREAS

Trespassing into SAF restricted areas constitutes an offence and it is punishable by law with a fine of $1,000 or imprisonment for a term of two years or both.
