Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Chua Hock Guan enlisted into the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) on 14 July 1989.

During his service in the organisation, CWO Chua has served in various key appointments such as Regimental Sergeant Major of Singapore Combat Engineers Battalion, Brigade Sergeant Major of Army Combat Engineers Group (ARMCEG), Staff Officer, Headquarters Army Training and Doctrine Command (HQ TRADOC), Formation Sergeant Major, Singapore Combat Engineers, as well as Sergeant Major of the Army.

CWO Chua's professional education includes overseas courses such as the United States Army Sergeant Major Course and Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College Executive Course.

CWO Chua's awards and distinctions include the State Medal for the Military (Long Service Medal), State Medal for the Military (Efficiency Medal) and the Singapore Armed Forces Long Service Award (25 Years).

CWO Chua is happily married to his wife, Ms Iris Kwok, and they have two children; Nicole and Keane.
