Army Open House 2022 is Finally Back after Five Years!

Held from 28 May to 12 June 2022, Army Open House 2022 (AOH22) was a kids friendly, quinquennial event which showcased Our Army’s operational capabilities, platforms and Army Formations through a multitude of interactive booths and immersive experiences.

Over the course of three weekends, a total of 140,000 and 200,000 visitors attended AOH22 physically and virtually, respectively. The main exhibition took place at the F1 Pit Building from 28 to 30 May, before pivoting to heartland locations Punggol and Bishan in subsequent weeks.

In commemoration of 55 years of National Service (NS55), NS55’s showcase was held in conjunction with AOH22, featuring key milestones throughout our history, such as the first Officer Cadet Course for Full-time National Servicemen (NSF) conducted at the Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute (SAFTI) held in 1968.

The AOH22 event comprised over five interactive zones suitable for all ages. Some of the key highlights included:

  1. “Battle Rides”: Where visitors could experience five Army Platforms including the Terrex, Bionix, Peacekeeper Protected Response (PRV) vehicle and the M3G (Military Float Bridge/Raft) at Marina Bay.
  2. “Firefight”: A team-based game where participants could demonstrate their marksmanship skills using the SAR-21, competing against their peers in a versus game format.
  3.  “Experience the Night”: A walk-through pitch-dark exhibition for visitors to experience using Night Vision Goggles in the dark to simulate a night-time outfield mission.
