EXPERTS CONTINUOUS ENGAGEMENT & LEARNING (EXCEL) BONUS

You will receive periodic EXCEL bonuses of up to 28 months in total, depending on your length of service.
MEDISAVE-CUM-SUBSIDISED OUTPATIENT (MSO) SCHEME

You will receive additional Medisave contributions and enjoy up to 85% subsidy for yourself and 60% for your dependants on outpatient treatment.
SIGN-ON BONUS

If you have signed up for the Junior MDES vocations and are not starting on or undergoing sponsored studies, you will receive a one-time Sign-on Bonus of up to $36,000.
EARLY DEGREE SPONSORSHIP

Good performers can apply for the SAF Engineering Award (SEA) to pursue full-time studies at local universities. This can be as early as the first three years of service.
FLEXIBLE BENEFITS (FLEX)

You will receive $600 - $1,000 FLEX credits a year, which can be used to pay for your insurance, vacations, education and medical needs.
CONTIGUOUS 8-RANK MILITARY EXPERT STRUCTURE

You will be sent for relevant MDES courses at key progression points to enhance your knowledge and be given the opportunity to rise in this 8-rank structure.
