Welcome to the ultimate shotgun seat. In this role, you will take charge of the weapon, navigation and electronic warfare systems on board an F-15SG/F-16, working telepathically with a partner pilot to make split-second decisions in life-or-death situations. These situations will help you develop nerves of steel, laser-sharp focus, and fighting instincts that will serve you well not only in the cockpit – but in life.
As a Weapon Systems Officer (Fighter), you will be under the Enhanced Officers Scheme (EOS).
TRAINING PROGRESSION
- Basic Military Training 9 weeks
- Flight Screening (Tamworth, Australia) 3 weeks
- Common Leadership Module (SAFTIMI) 2 weeks
- Air Force Service Term (SAFTIMI) 7 weeks
- Jungle Orientation Training 2 weeks
- Aviation Ground School (AFTC) 3 months
- Basic Wing Course (Pearce,Australia) 6-9 months
- Advanced Flying Course (Canada/France/Italy/USA/Singapore) Up to 15 months
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Eyesight < 600 degrees per eye
- Astigmatism < 200 degrees per eye
- Height 1.62-1.90m
- Education Relevant degree/diploma or 'A' Level/IB
