AIRCREW SPECIALIST

An advanced aircraft can only be effective when it is coupled with skilled human expertise.

As an Aircrew Specialist, you will work on board our most advanced helicopters and transport aircraft. No matter how pressing the scenario, your training will arm you with the skills to take on search-and-rescue missions, deploy troops to the frontline, provide humanitarian assistance, and deliver crucial supplies to fighting forces.

As an Aircrew Specialist, you'll be under the Enhanced Warrant Officers Scheme (EWOS).

The Airbus A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (A330-MRTT) is a next generation tanker aircraft capable of conducting Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) and airlift roles simultaneously.
Aircraft Systems
  1. Air Refuelling (AR) Systems. The AR systems are controlled from the Operator Console located in the flight deck. This arrangement facilitates pilot and operator coordination. The Aerial Refuelling Boom System (ARBS) is operated by fly-by-wire controls and electrical actuators, together with a 3-dimensional (3D) video system. The 3D video system provides the operators with a clearer and realistic visualisation of ongoing AAR operations.
  2. Avionics. The A330-MRTT is fitted with advanced avionics as well as fly-by-wire control systems featured in the civil A330 aircraft. It will also be equipped with a customised suite of military avionics.
