CAREER AND RETIREMENT ENDOWMENT (CARE)
Your CARE contribution will start as early as the 6th year for a 3WO, providing you with extra financial comfort and security when you retire.
CPF TOP-UP ACCOUNT
Part of your CPF contributions will be deposited into this account for investment. This amount, plus returns, will be credited back to your CPF Account upon the end of your service.
You can look forward to various bonuses, ranging from 6 to 10 months, at certain milestones in your career.
MEDISAVE-CUM-SUBSIDISED OUTPATIENT (MSO) SCHEME
You will receive additional Medisave contributions and enjoy up to 85% subsidy for yourself and 60% for your dependants on outpatient treatment.
EARLY DEGREE SPONSORSHIP
Service personnel with good military performance may apply for the CLASS Degree Sponsorship to pursue full-time or part-time studies at recognised universities. This is possible within the first three years of service for top-performers, subject to the management’s approval.
Those who are not starting on or undergoing sponsored studies will receive a one-time Sign-on Bonus of $20,000 - $30,000.
FLEXIBLE BENEFITS (FLEX)
Flex Credits are given to military regulars to support your life cycle needs, over and above your remuneration package and care benefits. Warrant Officers will receive 600 – 1000 FLEX credits a year (equivalent to $600 – $1000), which can be used to pay for your insurance, vacations, education and medical needs.
POST-RETIREMENT MEDICAL INSURANCE (PRMI)
The SAF will pay for medical insurance premiums from retirement (at or after age 50) till age 60.
