3. Air Power Review London : [MOD]

Published under the auspices of the Director of Defence Studies (RAF) this quarterly publication aims to provide an open forum which stimulates discussion and thought on air power in its broadest context. It also serves to support the British armed forces in general and the Royal Air Force in particular with respect to the development and application of air power. Contains articles of interest that contribute to existing knowledge and understanding of the subject.

Target audience is primarily uniformed and civilian members of the American intelligence community as well as defence analysts and some academics. Focus is on the practical and professional concerns of its readership.

5. Asia-Pacific Defense Forum

The Asia-Pacific Defense Forum is a professional military journal published quarterly by the Commander of the United States Pacific Command to provide an international forum for military personnel of the Asian and Pacific areas. 7. Asian Defence Journal

9. British Army Review

This is the journal by staff and students of the British Joint Services Command and Staff College. Aimed at staff colleges and military personnel around the world and at interested academics. 2. Air University Library Index to Military Periodicals (AULIMP)

The Air University Library's Index to Military Periodicals (AULIMP) is a subject index to significant articles, news items, and editorials from English Language military and aeronautical periodicals. The Index contains citations since 1990 and is updated quarterly. It is hosted by the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC). Several of the AULIMP journals have Internet web sites hyperlinked for users to see exactly what each publication makes available, as many do provide full-text articles.

Pacnet is a useful background on topical security-related issues in the Asia-Pacific. Its perspective is that of the Pacific Forum CSIS, which is the American think-tank active in the Asia-Pacific regional security community. Pacnet provides a quick read on issues ranging from nuclear proliferation in East Asia and the China threat to illegal migrations and the greenhouse effect.

SOF is heavy on paramilitary subjects, and reports on military and intelligence operations from around the global. It is a useful source of information about battlefield exploits, with stories about American Vietnam War heroes, including some technical articles on the latest military armamemts. This is the electronic "sister" of Soldiers magazine, the U.S. Army's official publication under the supervision of the Army Chief of Public Affairs. It provides information on Army policies, plans, operations, technical developments, trends and ideas of and about the Department of the Army. The target audience are soldiers, their families and civilians working in the Army. Current and back issues are available online.
