My Little Red Dot

Written by local artist Edmund Chen, the “Singapore, My Little Red Dot” activity book teaches values such as unity, resilience and teamwork and incorporates activities that enable preschoolers to identify shapes, go through mazes and count numbers. These are values shared by Total Defence and the Temasek Foundation’s ‘Stay Prepared’ initiative. Through this resource, we hope that young Singapore families can be made aware of these values in an interactive and fun manner.

This year, Nexus and Temasek Foundation have provided an enhanced version of this book to all K1 preschoolers. The enhanced activity book includes:

• (a) Information about trauma in children, a ‘Stay Prepared’ initiative
• (b) Activity cards for preschoolers and their parents to be engaged on Total Defence and;
• (c) Soaper 5 Challenge
• (d) Information and activity on how to stay safe during the COVID-19 Pandemic
