About the ARMS Logo
Our logo has 2 key components; the first being a graphic rendering of the name of the museum, the second being the portraits of the 3 soldiers. The soldiers wear uniforms from 3 distinctive periods of our Army's history and the change in opacity of each soldier as we move away from the first generation soldier signifies the transformational journey of our Army. The soldier on the right in the old Temasek green uniform reminds us to 'Honour the Past'. The soldier in the middle in contemporary combat fatigues captures how we 'L.I.V.E the Present' whereas the last soldier in the newest uniform 'Inspires the Future'. This stands in contrast to the earth coloured background which serves to remind us that the Army is at one with the land.
The text can be seen from 3 different viewpoints. The first is the official title of the museum. The second is the museum's acronym "ARMS" which is outlined to make it stand out from the rest of the text. The third is the way in which the alphabet "MY" from the word "Army" interact with the word "Museum" to read as "My Museum" representing how the museum intends to connect with Singaporeans on a personal level.
