The Army Contract Service is aimed at exposing you to a short-term army profession. You can expect a dynamic and meaningful career as an Army Trainer, coaching, mentoring and imparting military skills to the trainees.
Upon the completion of your contract service, you have the option to embark on a full career under the Enhanced Officers Scheme (EOS) or Enhanced Warrant Officers Scheme (EWOS) and receive a commitment bonus.

You will be entitled to 14 to 18 days of annual leave, according to your educational level, service length and rank. Your leave entitlement will be upgraded once you have completed 10 years of continuous service. Also, you will be entitled to 14 days of Medical Leave and 60 days of extended Hospitalisation Leave if you are warded.
As a public officer on the Medisave-cum-Subsidised Outpatient (MSO) medical benefits scheme, you will receive an additional 2% of your gross monthly salary into your Central Provident Fund Medisave Account. You will also receive a subsidy of up to $500 per calendar year for your medical expenses. Any unused amount of the first $350 subsidy will be credited into your Medisave account, while the remaining $150 will be on a reimbursement basis.
Each year, you will receive FLEX credits, which allows you to plan your own benefits according to your lifestyle. These credits can be used to purchase additional leave, or pay for insurance, vacations or your child’s education, among other things.
