The Army Deployment Force (ADF) is a high readiness unit that provides Army specialised capabilities for a full spectrum of Peace-Time Contingency Operations (PTCO). Besides PTCO, ADF is also deployed for Peace Support Operations (PSO) and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) missions.

Servicemen under the ADF scheme also enjoy upgrading and career development opportunities such as part-time Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ)-accredited or locally awarded diplomas, part-time NITEC/Higher NITEC sponsorships, and short courses offered by established institutions.

CAREER PROGRESSION

With the ADF, you can expect a dynamic, meaningful career with Our Army. High performing ADF Troopers can serve up to three contracts of either three-year or two-year terms.

NURTURING ROADMAP

The Nurturing Roadmap synergises the development of our people in the 3 key pillars of Continuing Education, Professional Military Education & Training, and Leadership Development. It builds a strong leadership foundation at all levels, and provides sponsorship opportunities for PSLE, 'O'- & 'N'-Level students to further their studies.

ADF TROOPER (BELOW 3 GCE 'O' LEVELS)

Combat/ Combat Support Trooper: $1800 - $2,630
Combat Service Support Trooper: $1,530 - $2,320

ADF SPECIALIST (3 GCE 'O' LEVELS & ABOVE/NITEC/HIGHER NITEC/A-LEVEL/DIPLOMA)

Combat Specialist: $2,080 - $2,910

The salaries shown are not inclusive of:
  • Mid-year/End-year Bonus
  • Performance Bonus (Based on individual military performance for the work-year)
  • Yearly Merit Increments (Based on individual military performance for the last work-year)
  • Additional Monthly Allowance ($200 for combat vocations, $100 for supply and transport vocations)
  • One-time sign-on bonus of $20,000 or $30,000.

MINDEF CENTRE FOR MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT (MCMD) COURSES

Thrive for personal upgrading and development with our series of quality in-house training courses. These include organisational training, competency development and continuing education.

LEAVE ENTITLEMENT

You will be entitled to 14 to 21 days of annual leave, according to your educational level, service length and rank. You will also be entitled to 14 days of Medical Leave and 60 days of extended Hospitalisation Leave if you are warded.

MEDISAVE-CUM-SUBSIDISED OUTPATIENT (MSO) SCHEME

As a public officer on the Medisave-cum-Subsidised Outpatient (MSO) medical benefits scheme, you will receive an additional 2% of your gross monthly salary into your Central Provident Fund Medisave Account. You will also receive a subsidy of up to $500 per calendar year for your medical expenses. Any unused amount of the first $350 subsidy will be credited into your Medisave account, while the remaining $150 will be on a reimbursement basis.

FLEXIBLE BENEFITS SYSTEM (FLEX)

Receive annual FLEX credits at cumulative rates per year in service, with 1 FLEX credit equivalent to S$1. These FLEX dollars can be used to purchase a wide range of needs to suit individual needs such as insurance, vacations and education, among others, for yourself and a dependent.
