SAF CEREMONIAL BAND

With the restructuring of the Service Bands in 1994, the Singapore Infantry Regiment Band, the Republic of Singapore Air Force Band and the Republic of Singapore Navy Band, were renamed as the Singapore Armed Forces Ceremonial Band A, Ceremonial Band B and Central Band respectively.


The SAF Ceremonial Band aim to provide quality music support during parades and ceremonies within the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

The SAF Ceremonial Band consists of two operational bands made up of Full-time National Servicemen (NSFs).

The SAF Ceremonial Band can be seen by the public during the monthly Istana Changing of Guards Ceremonies, the quarterly Passing Out Parades of the Basic Military Training Schools, and the Commissioning Parades of the Officer Cadet School. Other functions that the SAF Ceremonial Band is involved in are Welcome Ceremonies for visiting foreign dignitaries, Change of Command parades, and Anniversary Parades.

Besides performing for parades and ceremonies, the SAF Ceremonial Band also performs for the public at the Singapore Botanic Gardens and other public venues.
