Benefits of Exercise

Things happen to your body when you exercise regularly.

External Changes - Your body contour will change as your muscles and tissue strengthen, and unwanted fat disappears leading to improved self esteem. Also, the tone of your skin will improve as will its circulation combining to produce the " glow of heath "

Internal Changes - You can't see it, but internal changes take place. There will be an all-important lowering of unhealthy levels of blood cholesterol, and the increased efficiency of your heart and lungs. Together with these changes, your chances of getting high blood pressure and coronary heart disease will decrease.

Reduced Injuries - The overall tuning of your body will improve co-ordination of your physical movements, reducing your liability to injury. You will carry yourself with a better posture, lessening your chance of getting troublesome backaches and neckaches. Of course the enhanced endurance and heat tolerance will make exertion ever easier.

Weight Contol - The increased energy you expend in getting fit and the generally raised metabolic rate of your body will help you lose unwanted fat and maintain a healthy weight balance.

Mental Well Being - You will feel happier from body chemicals ( called 'endorphins') produced during physical exercise ( runner's high ). You be able to handle stress better and be less prone to fatigue and depression. You will sleep more deeply and restfully and end up more relaxed and productive in your work and social life.
