Singapore is hosting the ASEAN Regional Forum Defence Dialogue (ARF DD) and the ARF Security Policy Conference (ASPC) on 7 and 8 May respectively. As part of the programme, the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) hosted the ARF delegates to a visit to the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive (CBRE) Training Village in Seletar Camp this afternoon.

During the visit, the delegates witnessed a demonstration of the detection and clearance of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) by the CBRE Defence Group (CBRE DG) as well as a decontamination procedure by the SAF Medical Response Force (MRF). The ARF delegates also viewed a CBRE static display which included robotics, detection devices, decontamination equipment, and protection gear.

The ARF DD and the ASPC facilitate interaction, as well as enhance confidence-building and mutual cooperation among ARF delegates.
