Members of the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD), were joined by representatives and leaders from more than 40 trade unions in a visit to the Naval Diving Unit (NDU) this afternoon. The visit was hosted by Minister of State for Defence (MOS) Associate Professor Koo Tsai Kee.

The visit provided a better understanding of NDU's capabilities and the unique role it plays in safeguarding and defending Singapore's waters and sea lines of communications. The visitors also observed various diving techniques from an underwater viewing gallery and had first-hand experience riding on the new 11-metre Rigid-Hull Inflatable Boat.

The NDU visit is part of a programme that MINDEF organises to update the members of ACCORD and the community on the Singapore Armed Forces and its operations.
