Minister for Defence, Mr Teo Chee Hean, Minister of State for Defence and National Development, Mr Cedric Foo and Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Defence and the Environment and Water Resources, A/P Koo Tsai Kee, spoke on issues pertaining to Singapore's defence and security at the Committee of Supply Debate 2005.

On 4 Mar 05, Mr Teo covered issues on Singapore's changing security environment, maritime security, operational readiness, Operation Flying Eagle, humanitarian and peacekeeping missions, defence diplomacy, transformation, defence expenditure and training safety.

On 7 Mar 05, Mr Foo and A/P Koo spoke on defence technology and collaborative partnerships with the local defence industry, defence procurement, the 2-year National Service (NS) full time programme, disruptions, NSmen's fitness levels, commitment of our youths to NS, RECORD IV, retirement age and Total Defence.
