SMM achieved ISO 9002 standard for the conduct of the Combat Medic Course.

2 Aug 2002
SMM shifted to SAF Medical Corps Complex at Nee Soon Camp.

18 Sep 2003
SMM achieved ISO 9001:2000 standard for the provision of military medical training for the SAF.

1 Nov 2003
SMM obtained accreditation from NRC (National Resuscitation Council) for the conduct of AED (Automated External Defibrillation) training.

12 Apr 2006
SMM achieved OHSAS 18001:1999 standard for the provision of a safe and healthy work environment.

28 Apr 2006
Official inauguration of SAF Medical Training Institute (SMTI) by LTC (Dr) Robin Low, Commander SMTI.

24 Jan 2007
Official opening of Medical Skills Training & Simulation Centre (MSTSC) by LG Ng Yat Chung, Chief of Defence Force.

Today
SMTI is dedicated to training medical personnel from a wide range of organizations including the Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Police Force, Singapore Civil Defence Force, Police Gurkha Contingent, Special Operations Force, National Cadet Corps, and foreign military medical personnel from regional countries.
