Methods of Instruction
Introduction This course aims to equip officers and warrant officers/specialists (3SG to MAJ), who are or will be serving as instructors, with the knowledge of instructional methods and the skills and techniques in communications for effective delivery and facilitation for effective learning.
The outcome of the course is that these instructors must be competent and confident in delivering instruction and facilitating learning.
Objectives
- To improve and standardise the methods of military instruction
- To ensure that selected officers, before assuming the appointment as instructors, possess the skills and principles of good instruction.
Who is eligible to attend
- Officers and WOSEs who are earmarked to hold the appointment of Instructors in the Training Schools, Training Centres and Units.
- Officers and WOSEs who are currently instructors but have yet to attend the MOl Course.
- International students from foreign armed forces and non-SAF students (Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force).
Eligibility requirements
- Should be proficient in written and spoken English.
- No pre-course training requirements.
- No pre-course acceptance test.
- Medical certification of fitness for instruction required. Should be medically fit for the course.
