OUR LOGO
The Institute of Maritime Warfare Crest was designed and approved by HQ TRACOM in September 1997. It was designed by Commander IMW, COL Lim Ah Seng, himself.
The crest is multi-coloured to reflect the vibrant spirit of the Institute. It is partitioned vertically one third to the left, with a stylised frontal view of a man-of-war moving dynamically through the waves. This reflects the close association of the IMW with the ships from the Fleet and COSCOM. The Black-White disposition of the ship riding of the waves represents day and night fighting capabilities and steadfastness of the RSN platforms in all conditions. The Red background represents our association in related warfare with our comrades in the Army.

On the right, the sector is further partitioned horizontally by three bands of blue. These reflect the three dimensions of Maritime Warfare, with the dark blue representing sub surface warfare, the mid blue representing Surface and Light Blue representing Maritime Air and Anti Air Warfare. Superimposed on it, is a Golden Trident, the weapon of the sea, representing the Weapons used by the Navy to face the threats at sea.
