Naval Training Command (TRACOM) was established on the 18th July 1994. TRACOM's mission is to train naval personnel to fulfill their roles and functions in RSN units.
TRACOM's roles are:
- To train ship command teams in operational procedures and tactics, and to conduct Navy-level war-gaming exercises.
- To provide vocational and modular training for all Specialists and Rating.
TRACOM has a staff of 280, and conducts more than 320 different courses using the latest in Information Technology, simulators and trainers. An average of 4000 trainees graduate from TRACOM institutes annually. In addition, IMW conducts about 500 exercises a year at various levels of training.
