RSN Training Command or TRACOM's credo is to be a learning organisation dedicated to its task of training RSN personnel. Our focus shall be on delivering the best training possible with the resources available to us. Our training staff shall be ready, willing and able to rise to the challenge of producing mission-capable people for the operational units.

When Singapore and Malaysia parted ways in 1965, there was still no organised medical support for the men of the Navy. When the School of Maritime Training opened, the first Naval Medical Centre was set up to provide health care and preventive services to the 1,000 or so personnel training on the island.
