The F50 maritime patrol aircraft is jointly operated by the RSAF and RSN. It mission is to provide maritime air surveillance and to protect the seaward defence and sea lines of communications of Singapore. The F50 is currently involved in the Eyes in the Sky joint maritime air surveillance of the Malacca Straits together with its counterparts from Malaysia and Indonesia.
