The Ace sets the Pace. The Ace Brigade. As the pace-setters, 2 SIB men are swift and efficient, accomplishing their missions like bolts of lightning. The bayonet identifies 2 SIB as an Infantry Brigade while the Super Puma in the center underscores their ability to conduct heliborne missions. The wings emphasise the potential of the Brigade to soar to greater heights and the bolt of lightning represents the speed and efficiency in which they execute their missions.

Formed in October 1986, 9 SIB has established a name for their professionalism and combat readiness.The black shield with its gold outline and motto, 'Swift and Effective', represents the Brigade's commitment, readiness and ability to defend. The bat emblem represents the Brigade's ability to manoeuvre swiftly and freely even under the most difficult conditions to accomplish their missions. Like the bat, the Brigade's combat effectiveness and ability to strike without warning makes them feared by their adversaries.

54th Singapore Armour Brigade
54th Singapore Armour Brigade

As the penetrating force in the battlefield, 54 SAB is deemed as the spearhead of the Division and was the first NS Armoured Brigade to be formed under the Combined Arms Division concept. The insignia highlights a triangle with an arrow cast by an armoured vehicle track. The triangle represents the head of a spear, reflecting the use of armour as a spearhead element in the battlefield. Featuring the SAF Armour colours of red and yellow, 54 SAB identifies herself closely with her origins, and is proud to have matured into a fighting fight unit.

'The King of the Battlefield', 6 Division Artillery is characterized by their accuracy and timeliness in provided firepower. In times of need, they are the battlefield heavyweights who create the thunder and fury of combat destruction. The insignia showcases the universal field artillery logo of crossed cannons with a cannon-ball explosion.

The explosion signifies the accuracy, timeliness and firepower of 6 Division Artillery. Blue is used as the background colour to signify royalty and distinction, highlighting that 6 Division Artillery is the 'King of the Battlefield' and will serve 6 Division with pride, honour and distinction.

Reliable, efficient and professional, the Division can always rely on 6 DISCOM as a pillar of confidence to provide quality material and support services at the right place, at the right time. The 3 sectors in the shield signify the complexity of the various functional services. Featured at the center if the logo is the gear and bayonet, which represents the logistics family.

The colours represent Army Combat Service Support, with yellow representing maintenance, blue representing supply and red representing medical. Their motto reflects the proficiency and commitment in providing quality combat service support to the forces of 6 Division.

6th Division Engineers
6th Division Engineers

As the engineering experts of 6 Division, Combat Engineers provide the crucial support to pierce the heart of enemy defences, and provide the strength of defence around the Division. Their tasks include constructing fixed bridges, field fortifications and emplacements; overcoming obstacles; and other engineering tasks that enhance combat power and effectiveness.

The 6 Division Engineers logo consists of a bayonet and Division logo inscribed on a castle with lightning bolts extending from both sides of the bayonet. It signifies the construction capabilities of Combat Engineers as well as their offensive spirit and destructive capabilities of the engineers in piercing the enemy's defences.

HQ 6 Div Engineers is made up of 6 MCM & 324 SCE, and the administrative office. It is regularly involved in Division exercises, playing the role of Division Engineer Cell.

6th Signal Battalion
6th Signal Battalion

Communication is of the essence in any battle. The competency of signalers determines wether critical tasks and orders are carried out. They are the transmitters of information who synchronise the operations of the Division. The gold crossed flags on the red octagonal background symoblises the significant presence of 6 Signal Battalion as a sub-unit of 6 Division.


It also represents the Battalion's primary role in providing Command, Control, Communications and Computer support to the Division. The Battalion is driven by their motto, 'Swift and Effective', in achieving their missions.

6th Divisional Air Defence Artillery Battalion

6 DA Bn is the defender of our skies. Their alertness is key to swift and deadly air defence. Like the missiles that home in on enemy presence, 6 DA Bn men are trained to react with the accuracy and force that intimidates enemy intruders. Under their watchful eyes, Low Level Air Defence (LLAD) coverage for 6 Division and the
protection of vital installations in Singapore are ensured.

The missile and twin cannon design represent the Division Weapon System. The symbol of the wings represents the Battalion's direct link with the RSAF during war and peacetime. The red background denotes bravery, steadfastness and aggressiveness, while yellow symbolises loyalty. Green represents their affiliation with the Army. Thus, their motto, 'Vigilant and Valiant', serves as a constant reminder and inspiration to be vigilant against any air aggression and to be valiant in combating them.

Rugged, relentless and adaptable, 1 SIR aims to be the master of their terrain. They possess the combat capabilities that reinforce their prowess on the battlefield. The The leopard symbol 1 SIR's qualities of tenacity and grit. It portrays the ability of 1 SIR men to counter whatever difficulties that come their way without fear or hesitation. The men and women of 1 SIR always remember with pride that 1 SIR is the 'First and Foremost' defender of our nation.

Since their formation, 4 SIR has been driven by the pledge to be victorious in battle. This goal is complemented by an unwavering focus on loyalty that elicits the highest level of commitment from their men and women. The most majestic of the birds, the Eagle, has from ancient times symbolised military power. The 'King of Birds' virtues - strength, courage, ferocity in attack, tenacity in defence and steadfast loyalty till death, are also those of 4 SIR soldiers.
