On 4 Apr 14, LTA Muhammad Iskandar, a fighter pilot from 144 SQN, was invited by Tampines Secondary School to engage students from the uniformed groups of National Police Cadet Corps, National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Civil Defence Cadet Corps. LTA Iskandar explained to the 120 students about the role of the RSAF in Singapore's military defence. He also shared that a pilot needs to plan his mission and ensure the plan is foolproof before executing it.
On a personal front, LTA Iskandar also highlighted the differences between leaders and managers, and shared techniques and the importance of goals setting with the students. LTA Iskandar said, "It was an interesting experience as the students shared their perspectives of the RSAF with me. It was also rewarding as I was able to share my knowledge in terms of leadership and goals setting. I was proud to be given this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these students."
