Flight Engineer

The Challenge


As a Flight Engineer (FE), you form an integral part of the aircrew composition on board the Chinook aircraft.

Your technical role involves flight inspection, maintenance, servicing and rectification of the aircraft systems. You will also be assigned a crucial combat role in tactical and airlift operations.

Your participation will be critical to the safe and swift execution of any mission in an operational environment.

The Requirements


As a Flight Engineer, you should be:
  • medically fit

Your eyesight should be:
  • Normal colour vision
  • Not more than 150 deg per eye

Academically you should have:

A relevant Engineering Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or Aerospace Technology.
