The Challenge
As an Air Defence Systems Specialist (ADSS), you must have the courage needed to meet the challenges of a combatant life and yet have the skills of a technician responsible for the maintenance and servicing the air defence systems.
It's a challenging job that will have you making split-second decisions that may determine the outcome of crucial missions. You will learn all there is to know about handling, maintaining and servicing some of the most sophisticated systems such as the RBS 70, the Mistral & Rapier Missile Systems, the I-Hawk and the Anti-Gun System.
The Requirements
As an Air Defence Systems Specialist, you should be:
Your eyesight should be:
- normal colour vision
- not more than 500 degrees
Academically, you should have:
A relevant Engineering Diploma in Mechantronics, Microelectronic, Computer Network Tech, Electrical, Electrical and Computer Control Engineering, Electronic, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Computer or Telecommunications; OR Higher Nitec in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or Information Technology; OR Nitec in Electronics (Instrument, Video Technology or Digital Equipment), Electronic (Wafer Fab).
