The four simulators housed at the Flight Simulator Centre at Paya Lebar Air Base are used extensively to practise take off/landing procedures, aircraft emergency operations , instrument flying, navigation flying, etc.
Its flight compartment replicates the actual aircraft cockpit, while the structure, mounted on a hydraulically-driven motion platform, simulates in-flight physical sensations. Instructors reproduce various environmental conditions, mimic emergency conditions and assess pilots' performances through audio-visual playback of the flight recording.
